Period A: We went to the wood shop with Mr. Watson. Mindy
did some painting as well as some coloring. Atshaya colored some butterfly
pictures. Michelle was working on a collage. Jerron did some beadwork and
played with some wooden cars. Romi worked with the Lego and plasticine.
Period B: We learned about butterflies by watching a
flipchart on the Whiteboard. We then went to S-6 to set the table for the
Maplewood Mindfulness Community Lunch. Everybody helped to set the table. When
we got back to our class we all got to enjoy a little “Free Time”.
Period C: We went back to S-6 to clean the dishes from
the lunch. We all had a chance to practice our dish washing and drying skills.
When we went back to our classroom we did a money math activity on the
Whiteboard.
Period D: We filled in the daily report. We had our daily
Mindfulness Mediation sitting.
Note to Parents: Once again, weather permitting, we will
be going to the YMCA tomorrow. Please ensure students have running shoes and
gym wear.
