Period A: We went to the wood shop with Mr. Watson.
Atshaya used the adding machine to add up different numbers and then she did
some Easter coloring. Mindy had a busy period. She hammered some nails, did
some coloring and even made a decorative plaque out of wood and fibreboard.
Michelle used the Lego to construct some shapes. Jerron worked with blocks and
beads as well as playing with wooden cars. Romi fooled around with old
newspapers.
Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We then
prepared our lunch. Atshaya grated the cheddar cheese. Romi made the fruit
punch and washed the lettuce. Mindy and Michelle set the table. Jerron helped
to keep things clean. When Jennifer got here at 11:30 we sat down and ate our
lunch of Taco’s, Burrito’s and Mexican Rice. It was delicious ! After we had
eaten lunch we went to the library where Jennifer read us a story.
Period C: We started off by cleaning the dishes and the
Kitchen/classroom. Everybody helped out by taking turns washing, rinsing and
drying the dishes. We then read some stories using the Whiteboard . One of the
stories was about a young man with Down Syndrome who was teased. In the end
though, it all worked out.
Period D: We filled in the daily report. We had our daily
Mindfulness Mediation sitting.
