Weather for Today: A mix of Sun and Clouds, cool

Period A: We went to the wood shop with Mr. Watson. Mindy
made a name plaque out of wood. She also worked on a word search. Atshaya was
using an adding machine to add up numbers. Romi made another collage. Michelle
also made a collage. She also began work on her name plaque. Jerron, as usual,
did some bead work.
Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We then
read a story about feelings using the whiteboard. The story talked about
different feelings like being mad or sad or happy. We then spoke a bit about
how we can deal with our feelings. We then went to S-6 to set the table for the
Maplewood Mindfulness Community lunch. Everybody helped to set the table. When
we had finished we came back to our classroom and read another story. We then
had some unstructured time.
Period C: We started out by going back to S-6 to wash the
dishes from the Community lunch. Everybody
had a chance to wash, rinse and dry the dishes. We then came back to our
classroom where we filled in the daily report. We did the daily report in this
period because we will be going to the library in Period D to do an activity
with Elena and Jacinda.
Period D: We went to the library where we did an activity
about monsters ! We listened to a story about monsters in space. We then did a
arts and crafts activity where we made some three eyed monsters out of tissue
paper and paper plates.
Note to Parents: We will be going to the YMCA tomorrow.
Please ensure students have running shoes and gym wear.
