Period A: We went to the wood shop with Mr. Watson. Mindy
helped Mr. Watson paint some wooden salamanders. Atshaya colored some mosaics. Romi
did some cut and pasting to make a collage. Michelle helped Romi with the
collage. Jerron did some bead work as well as road testing some wooden cars.
Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We then
used the Promethean Board to write a story. The story was about a girl named
Romi who made friends with a Zebra. We then went to S-6 to set the table for
the Maplewood Mindfulness Community lunch. When we got back to class we
finished writing our story and then read it out.
Period C: We had so much fun with the story writing
activity that we decided to write another story. This one was about Atshaya and
her brother Sam. The story told about Sam rescuing Atshaya from some ghosties
and a dragon. At 1:00 o’clock we went back to S-6 to wash the dishes. We all
helped out and did a great job.
Period D: We filled in the daily report. We had our daily
Mindfulness Meditation sitting.
Note to Parents : We will be going to the YMCA tomorrow.
( Weather permitting) Students will need running shoes and gym wear.
