Period A: We went to the wood shop with Mr. Watson. Atshaya
used the adding machine to do some sums.
Courtney did a lot of different things like drawing on the black board and
using the Shop Vac. Jerron worked on some puzzles. Mindy helped Mr. Watson on a
tile project. Michelle did some coloring. Romi did her usual cut and pasting to
make a collage.
Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We then
used the Promethean Board to write a science fiction story about Mindy and her
visit to a planet. We went to S-6 to set the table for the Maplewood
Mindfulness Community lunch. We all helped out by making place settings. When
we had finished setting the table we came back to class and used the Promethean
Board to read some stories.
Period C: Once again we used the Promethean Board to do a
lesson. We used the board and some plastic money to identify different types of
coins and their value. We then went back to S-6 to wash the dishes. Everybody
took turns washing and drying the dishes. We then came back to our classroom
where we did some more money math.
Period D: We filled in the daily report. We had our daily
Mindfulness Meditation sitting.
Note to Parents: We will be going to the YMCA tomorrow.
Please ensure students have running shoes and gym wear.
