Period A: We went to the wood shop and met Mr. Watson. Courtney
used Lego to make a blender. Mindy and Atshaya did some coloring. Romi and
Michelle used plasticine to make some shapes. Jerron was using blocks to make
different shapes. Then we all helped Mr. Watson use a computer to control a robot !
Period B: We began with our Mindfulness Minutes. We went
to Room S-6 and set the table for the Maplewood Mindfulness Community lunch. Mr.
Wilkens showed us how to do a place setting then we all had a chance to help
out. When we got back to class we began to read a story using the Whiteboard.
The story was called “The Tortoise and The Hare”.
Period C: We went back to S-6 where we all helped to wash
the dishes from the Mindfulness lunch. We then went back to our classroom where
we continued to read the story we had started. It was a Aesop’s Fable about a
race between a hare and a tortoise. As we read the story we answered questions
about it. The story had a lesson. The lesson was “ slow and steady wins the
race”.
Period D: We filled in the daily report. We had our daily
Mindfulness Mediation sitting.
Note to Parents: We will be going to the YMCA tomorrow.
Students need to have gym wear and running shoes !
